Job Summary

An exciting opportunity to be part of the Coal Marketing & Logistics function as a Commercial Marketing and Logistics, where you will be responsible to manage and execute commercial marketing and logistics activities in the domestic markets and logistics related activities for the domestic and export markets.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Develop and implement commercial marketing and logistics strategies to optimize commercial marketing and logistics positions, mitigate risk, and maximize profitability.
• Execute buy and sell orders to achieve desired positions in coal commodities.
• Negotiate coal purchase and sale agreements with counterparties, including suppliers, producers, and end-users.
• Structure and execute complex deals to ensure competitive pricing.
• Monitor domestic coal markets, including price trends, supply and demand dynamics, and geopolitical factors affecting coal prices.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify commercial marketing and logistics opportunities and risks.
• Develop and maintain risk management strategies to protect the company from price volatility and market fluctuations.
• Monitor and assess the risk exposure of the coal commodities portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Stay informed about changes in regulations that may impact commercial marketing and logistics activities.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with coal suppliers, customers, brokers, and industry peers.
• Collaborate with other commercial marketing and logistics teams and departments to enhance the company's commercial marketing and logistics capabilities.

This role will be based in Melrose Arch office, reporting to the Head of Marketing and Logistics – Coal.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst or Actuary
