Responsibilities, in both print products and on digital platforms, include:
The effective and complete writing and curation of promotional, advertising and marketing material, as well as special projects.
Conceptualisation and execution of promotional, advertising and marketing projects that will benefit branding, newspaper sales, and digital subscriber recruitment.
Liaising with clients and marketers in a promotional, advertising and marketing environment.
Quality client service to ensure a quality product.
The writing of factually correct and creative promotional and advertising copy and newsworthy focus articles inAfrikaans.
The ability to adhere to strict deadlines without compromising on quality.
The suitable candidate must be willing to work effectively under pressure and keep to strict deadlines.
This position sometimes requires the candidate to work irregular hours and over weekends, as well as some travel.
A valid driver’s licence, relevant tertiary journalism qualification and at least five years’ experience are all requirements for this position.
The person must also be fluent in Afrikaans and English and be able to write in both languages.
Experience working on digital publishing platforms is essential.
