    Commercial Sales Manager (Gauteng East Region)

    Job Description    
    The Commercial Sales Executive will be responsible for the following:

    • To lead and manage the commercial vehicle sales team within the dealership, ensuring achievement of sales targets, development of key commercial accounts, and alignment with the overall business strategy. Responsible for driving profitability and growing the dealership’s market share in the B2B (fleet and business) segment.

    Specific Role Responsibilities    
    Roles and Responsibilities

    Sales Management:

    • Drive new and used commercial vehicle sales (vans, trucks, fleet vehicles).
    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
    • Forecast sales and develop strategies to increase revenue and customer base.

    Team Leadership:

    • Recruit, train, and manage a team of commercial sales executives.
    • Set performance KPIs, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
    • Promote a high-performance sales culture.

    Customer Relationship Management:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with fleet customers, businesses, and key accounts.
    • Understand client needs and offer tailored vehicle and service solutions.
    • Oversee contract negotiations, tenders, and long-term supply agreements.

    Qualifications and Experience    
    REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum 5 years in a sales role, with at least 2 years in commercial vehicle or B2B sales.
    • Proven experience managing a sales team.
    • A successful sales track record, with networking and cold calling as an integral part of the process
    • The ideal candidate would someone with excellent networking and negotiating skills (able to go out and source new business)
    • Existing data base (advantageous)
    • Valid SA driver’s license Code 10 and up is essential

    Skills and Personal Attributes:         

    • Knowledge of the latest ranges in commercial models
    • Vehicle financing (advantageous)
    • Understanding financial statements and tax implications
    • Special licence and registration processing
