Key Responsibilities And Duties

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in commercial vehicles using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Perform routine servicing, inspections, and preventive maintenance (e.g., oil changes, brake checks, filter replacements).
• Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering components, and suspension systems.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections and vehicle testing to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
• Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure timely and quality service.
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards, tools, and diagnostic techniques.
• Ensure all work areas and equipment are kept clean, organized, and safe.
• Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in training junior technicians or apprentices as required.
• Ensure that hand tools set conforms to Motus standard

Specific Role Responsibilities    

• Repair and service motor vehicles according to Motus standards and specifications 
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools.

Qualifications and Experience    

• Qualified petrol/diesel Technician.
• Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in commercial vehicle maintenance and repair

Skills and Personal Attributes    

• Qualified diesel/petrol technician
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
