Grade 12 / Matric certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 4, N3). Zero (0) to 1 year relevant working experience. A Diploma or Degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or related fields will be an added advantage.
Exposure to a communications environment will be an added advantage. Good understanding and knowledge of communication, sound interpersonal relations, project planning skills, ability to prepare reports. Good communication skills both verbal and written. Must be computer literate and, a valid driver’s licence will be added advantage.
Duties :
Developing and editing communication materials for print, digital, and social media platforms. Assist in the writing and publishing articles for the quarterly internal newsletters, including writing articles for the EVP bulletin of the coordinate annual open day events.
Drive and coordinate generation of good news to cater for various media platforms and formats inclusive of corporate publications, media statements, electronic media, social media, visual and audio, live interviews. Manage day-to-day information sharing and frequently update the notice boards. Prepare and distribute media statements. Manage hospital social media platforms and distribute internal memos.
Supporting the application of the Department’s Corporate Identity (CI) and branding initiatives. Assisting with multimedia journalism with all health awareness campaigns, departmental events, exhibitions, and outreach programmes. Assisting with drafting, editing, and distributing media statements/memos. Maintaining professional relationships with media stakeholders. Assist in secretarial duties and liaison between hospital board and the hospital management.
