Main Responsibilities:

• Working with the Communications Advisor and Director for People, Culture and Communications, contribute to the development of the communications strategy for Southern Africa.

• Develop compelling content for internal and external audiences to deliver Royal HaskoningDHV’s strategic messages to its stakeholders

• Support our spokes people and subject matter experts with writing support for blog posts

• Create content for PR and marketing campaigns

• Oversee social media accounts for our employer brand.

• Generate topics based on daily research and current events.

• Strategise and create content that educates, engages the audience, supports business goals and tells an employer brand story across multiple digital platforms.

• Work with various departments (particularly HR) regarding their needs for content in the business.

• Ensures that external and internal communications are consistent in terms of messaging and themes.

• Support with generating communication content that supports change management initiatives.

• Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders and building a network of contacts across business lines in the different countries.

• Curating and maintaining an extensive creative asset archive.

• Managing internal and external suppliers to support campaign activity. This includes producing clear briefs, managing relationships, and ensuring quality delivery within deadlines.

• Please note, while we will use agencies, at least 70% of your time will be dedicated to creating content yourself.

Minimum qualifications, skills and experience:

• Degree or Diploma in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing or a related field

• 7 - 10 years’ experience working within a related field, such as Communications, PR or Marketing in a B2B environment 

• Experience working across various digital platforms

• Excellent writing skills (comfortable writing across a variety of topics and for a variety of audiences)

• Ability to take conceptual and strategic concepts and make them relevant and interesting for audiences

• Strong project management and interpersonal skills
