Grade 12. Diploma (NQF 6) in Communication / Marketing / Journalism /Public Relations / Media Studies. At least 1 – 2 years’ experience in a corporate communication environment in the public service. Computer literacy, Photographic skills. A valid driver’s license.
Competencies: Honesty and integrity, flexibility, computer skills. Good verbal and written communication skills, teamwork.
DUTIES :
Responsible for development of internal releases to update staff about internal developments i.e. news, transformation issues, conditions of service matters, etc. Distribution of internal circulars and memos through electronic and print channels. Regularly updating of notice boards and monitoring proper placement of notices. Develop creative communication initiatives to the interest all stakeholders including staff members on departmental matters.
Assist with the production of internal departmental publications (e.g., newsletters, calendars, diaries, programmes, posters, print advertisement, etc). Responsible for internal corporate identity brand campaign and awareness. Monitor and report adherence to the department’s corporate identity manual. Assist with branding and exhibitions. Coordinate and take part in all internal and external events. Update the website on a regular basis.
