A well-established and growing financial services business is looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to take ownership of Exchange Control and Treasury Compliance.
This is an opportunity for someone who understands the TOC / FX Intermediary environment and can bring a more modern, technology-driven approach to compliance. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable working with systems, automation and process improvement.
Candidates must have direct experience within a TOC / FX Intermediary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Exchange Control and Treasury Compliance across the business.
Manage relationships and processes with Capitec and/or Investec Exchange Control, AML and FICA teams.
Handle SARB applications, including emigration cases, third-party payment approvals, blocked accounts, renewals, escalations and loans.
Ensure compliance with RMCP, FICA, FATCA, AML and KYC requirements.
Oversee KYC remediation and client onboarding compliance.
Support Treasury and Payments Operations, including SWIFT tracing, GPI tracking, deal booking and resolving payment delays with banking partners.
Identify opportunities to digitise, automate and improve compliance processes and systems.
Own the implementation and ongoing management of the RMCP and compliance training programme.
Deliver training to internal staff and franchise partners.
Mentor and support junior compliance team members.
Provide guidance and practical compliance support across the business.
Requirements
Matric and relevant qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Exchange Control and Treasury Compliance.
Essential experience within a TOC / FX Intermediary environment – banking-only experience will not be considered.
Proven experience dealing directly with Exchange Control, AML and FICA teams.
Hands-on SARB application experience.
Strong working knowledge of RMCP, FICA, FATCA, AML and KYC.
Experience in payments and treasury operations, including SWIFT and GPI.
Demonstrated experience in systems implementation, automation or process digitisation.
Experience delivering compliance training.
Previous leadership, mentoring or team management experience.
