Company Description:

An extremely successful and growing long-term insurance company that specalises in offering affordable funeral cover to clients across South Africa, is looking for an experienced and qualified Compliance Manager.

In this role you will ensure that the company adheres to legal standards of industry specific regulation and in-house policies and processes. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
• Monitor compliance with FAIS, TCF, FICA and other relative legislation
• Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
• Prepare management reports on a monthly basis identifying trends and flags forewarning of any potential risks to the business
• Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
• Analyze and interpret regulatory legislation and using a risk-based approached, develop risk management plans for specific legislation

Requirements:

• Qualification in Compliance Management
• Post-graduate diploma in Comliance would be advantageous
• RE1 and RE5 would be advantageous
• 4 years' experience as a compliance manager in the financial services industry
• Funeral or life insurance experience would be advantageous
