Compliance Officer at MCC Label

We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Compliance Officer who will be responsible to ensure our plant has full compliance with the ISO 14001 environmental legislation, FSC, BRC Global Standard for Packaging Materials, GMP and HACCP. This role requires expert knowledge and the ability to plan, implement, monitor and review proactive and preventative measures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety

• Manage all aspects of Safety policies, procedures, processes, and standards.
• Continuous engagement with all teams to maintain and continuously improve the well-established safety culture.

Health Systems

• Manage all aspects of Health policies, procedures, processes, and standards and alignment to legislation.

Environmental

• Manage all aspects of Environmental policies, procedures, processes, and standards and compliance to all relevant legislation.

Systems

• Oversee the Quality Management System document control.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality standards.
•  Manage GMP & HACCP processes and standards.

General

• Embrace Kaizen principles and encourage continual improvement and 5S projects.
• Coordinate training on Health & Safety, Risk, Environmental practices to align with industry best practices.
• Stay up to date with South African legislation and best practices, providing leadership and coaching on SHEQ activities.
• Coordinate and conduct training and internal auditing on BRC awareness, compliance, and alignment with global best practices.
• Maintain effective communication with internal departments, customers, and suppliers to ensure objectives are met.

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years of production experience.
• 5+ years of previous experience in Compliance.
• Previous experience in implementing and maintaining quality control and certification systems.
• Previous experience in implementing and maintaining health & safety systems.
• Previous experience in implementing and maintaining environmental systems.
• ISO 14001 Internal Auditor certification and/or related courses.
• Knowledge of FSC
• BRC Internal Auditor certification and/or related courses.
• Strong organizational understanding.
