Consultant Pathologist: Chempath - Westridge (KZN) at Ampath

Purpose of Position:

To consult with clients (doctors and patients) and laboratory personnel. To manage the laboratory and establish and maintain a high quality pathology service

Requirements:

• FC Path(SA)  (Required),
• HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field  (Required),
• MBChB  (Required), M Med (Pathology)  (Required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise Clients on life threatening results,
• Continuous Education for Pathology laboratories,
• Maintain client relations to promote the image of Ampath, Marketing,
• Oversee the standard of the work performed, overall operation and administration in the laboratory,
• Promotion of Professional Standards and Expertise,
• Provision of Continuous Pathology/Clinical Laboratory Service:
• Consultation with doctors,
• Control and monitoring of results,
• Result verification,
• Reporting,
• Participation in Peer Group,
• Sign-out all abnormal results according to criteria
