Contractor - Post Brand Inspector (Ikhwezi) at Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd.

Job Purpose 

The purpose of the Post Brand Inspector’s role is to identify any elements of the AE brand standard that does not meet the installation and design specifications. In addition, this role is required to audit the operational aspects of the service station against the various operating standards that are applicable.

Feedback must be provided to the Project Ikhwezi team as well as the appropriate roles within the Retail Sales business unit.

24 month contract

• Contribute towards safety of consumers and staff at AE retail facilities by ensuring that signage has been installed according to design standards
• Use PPE and practise awareness when on site doing inspections
• Practise Defensive Driving techniques when driving on company business
• Compile Reports based on the site inspections and disseminate these reports to internal and external stakeholders as required
• Responsible for the communications between the project and AE Territory Managers and appropriate Retail Leadership
• Use Smartsheets and any other software package that may be required to fulfil the job requirements, by uploading feedback and responding to queries in a timeous manner.
• Develop a checklist and audit protocol to examine rebranded service stations
• Physically inspect the rebranded sites as per protocol and provide a report
• Physically inspect the rebranded sites to determine level of compliance to various operational standards

Professional Qualification and Certifications:

• Any post matric qualification in Engineering or Fuel Retail

Work Experience:

• Technical knowledge and experience regarding retail service station construction and maintenance. Also need a working knowledge of service station operations. 

Knowledge and skills:

• Good communication skills
• Understanding of Astron Energy Retail network and agreements
• MS Excel proficiency
• MS Outlook proficiency
• Ability to learn how to use Smartsheets (cloud-based programming tool) as planning, monitoring and control tool
