Contractor – Sales & Marketing Senior Business Analyst at Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd.

Purpose of Role:

• The purpose of the Business Analyst is to gather, analyse and prepare documentation such as business cases, detailed impact assessments and any functional specification documents required for the Sales & Marketing business. They will also report on any IT generated demand as well as business generated enhancements required. The Business Analyst is responsible to facilitate reporting standardisation across functional areas by identifying standardisation opportunities and optimising the existing reporting framework.
• This is a 6-month contract role.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10 or more years IT BA experience in a Retail/Oil and Gas industry
• BA Certification desirable.
• SAP Certification and/or experience desirable, especially SD, Commerce/ Cloud and/or CRM.
• Retail industry experience is required e.g. Card transaction switching, VAS, Loyalty.

• Good communication - the ability to influence multiple stakeholder groups to agree on a single set prioritised requirement.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with business stakeholders.
• Proven analytical skills – the ability to understand business requirements for enhancements and reports.
• Experience of analysing and breaking down problems and information.
• Strong customer focus – improve turnaround time on business requirements for enhancements and reports.
• Deep understanding of the retail technology stack to include OS, DB, middleware, transaction switching, application layer, OT, IoT, virtualisation, and cloud technologies.
• Thought-leader and change agent to drive innovation and change that delivers maximum business value.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
