Our client within the insurance industry is seeking a skilled and experienced Corporate Broker to join their team based in Rosebank, Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underwriting and broking commercial insurance, with a proven track record of assessing risk, developing insurance solutions, and managing client relationships.
Minimum Requirements
Essential: Matric
Essential: RE1 and RE5 Certificates.
Essential: FAIS qualification.
Essential: Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Corporate Broker, or in a similar role within the insurance industry.
Willingness to Travel from time to time to client sites outside of Johannesburg
Roles and Responsibilities
Assess and evaluate corporate insurance applications, determining coverage options and pricing based on risk analysis.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and underwriters to facilitate effective communication and service delivery.
Analyze complex risk profiles and prepare detailed reports and recommendations for insurance coverage.
Negotiate terms and conditions of insurance policies with clients and insurers, ensuring favorable terms and adequate coverage.
Review and assess policy renewals, making adjustments as necessary to reflect changes in risk or market conditions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, including documentation and reporting.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to provide informed advice to clients.
Collaborate with other team members to develop new business opportunities and enhance the company’s market presence.
Load policies, manage invoicing and reporting on Cardinal Software.
Travel from time to time to client sites outside of Johannesburg.
