Corrugator Shift Supervisor at Kelly

Job Description:

• Supervise and motivate board unit crew including employee performance and any other disciplinary issues arising
• Ensure machine is in optimal condition to produce good quality board which includes but is not limited to housekeeping and operator based maintenance
• Ensure production target are met
• Hands on assistance with problem finding
• Training of personnel
• Continues improvement on OEE
• Controlling and minimising waste to acceptable limits
• Ensure compliance with all quality, safety and environmental procedures within the organisation and work within the parameters of the applicable standards – For example ISO, FFSC, FSC, BCEA etc

Education and Experience:

• Grade 12
• Trade certificate in corrugated board manufacturing machine minding or RPL
• Supervisory training certificate/diploma or proof of previous experience
• Basic computer skills training beneficial
• Training received in OHS act and ISO principles beneficial

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years post apprenticeship experience on board unit/corrugator in corrugated industry with emphasis on operation of board unit
• Previous supervisory experience required or supervisory diploma/certificate
• Handling of discipline on production facility experience beneficial
• Previous experience with OEE, Availability and waste reduction principles critical
• Good communication and numerical skills
• Computer literacy
