Cost Accountant - Olifantsfontein at MAN Automotive (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd

Description

• Identify and manage variances on labour and material
• Control direct labour for the calculations of productivity & for the issuing of manufacturing orders
• Close manufacturing orders timeously
• Calculate bus body transfer prices
• Prepare manufacturing orders for invoicing by correctly processing contract changes in the system
• Assist warehouse team with stock control
• Prepare invoices for all bus bodies sold
• Attend stock counts to ensure that procedures are adhered to
• Validate and analyse authorised material price changes on the system and do costs roll ups
• Process valid and authorised stock adjustments & identify slow and redundant stock
• Assist with the resolution of material price queries by liaising with suppliers & group procurement
• Process shipments transactions for direct materials purchases

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Grade: 12 Matric Certificate
• Diploma/Degree in Accounting/equivalent

Skills:

• Good communication (oral and written) & interpersonal relations skills
• Computer Literate
• Advanced EXCEL is a pre requisite
• Work independently though being a team player
• Work accurately under pressure and be able to meet deadlines
• Pro-active, highly motivated and pay attention to detail
• Efficient Flexible, active and forward thinking
• Constantly learning

Experience:

• Experience in a similar role in the automotive industry - 3 years
