    Country Regulatory Specialist

    • A well-established provider of sustainable and innovative crop protection solutions is seeking a Country Regulatory Specialist to be responsible for proactively managing, implementing, and delivering all aspects of product registrations in South Africa and neighbouring countries, including Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Mozambique.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a Master’s Degree with specialization in Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry or equivalent discipline
    • Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience in a registration environment of plant protection products, preferably in Africa
    • Well organised, with strong planning and organisational skills
    • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively to achieve results
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Willingness to travel within and outside of Europe
    • Proficient in English; proficiency in an additional language, preferably French, will be advantageous

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Managing, implementing, and delivering all aspects of global product registrations in South Africa.
    • Coordinating dossier submissions in Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Mozambique in close collaboration with local consultants and partners.
    • Coordinating local residue trials and working closely with the Development Manager on local efficacy trials.
    • Serving as the key contact and representing the international business on all regulatory-related matters, both internally and externally, with global partners, suppliers, shareholders, clients, technical services, and regulatory authorities.
    • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with local consultants, regulatory authorities, and distributors.
    • Maintaining and expanding a comprehensive understanding of local regulatory requirements and legislation across the assigned countries.
    • Defining objectives and action plans for the registration strategies of the product portfolio in close collaboration with the Global Regulatory Team Lead, the I&NT Marketing and Sales Manager, and the Global Regulatory Dossier and Science team.
    • Establishing, defending, and managing the budgets required to achieve agreed objectives while ensuring the efficient utilisation of resources.
    • Leading the development of regulatory dossiers for the assigned territory, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
    • Participating actively in CropLife South Africa to strengthen professional networks and industry influence.
