Crane Operator at Anglo American

Job Description
Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Load and unload materials and equipment to instructions
• Effectively operate the crane for all crane related activities
• Ensure that the crane is maintained according to set schedule
• Identify any unexpected problems that could require higher level technical support to the crane
• Conduct a full risk assessment for all major tasks
• Identify actions that could prevent and improve safety and work performance
• Support operational team members if and when they require help
• Ensure effective two way communications with team members
   

Qualifications
You should have:

• Grade 10 Maths and English Literature
• One year Mobile Crane operation experience
• Valid Code 08 drivers licence
• Valid Code 14 driver’s license (Advantageous)
• Valid PRDP
• Valid operating license – Mobile Crane 160Ton+ [obtained from a registered accredited authority]
