    Credit Controller

    About the job

    • Coloplast has an exciting opportunity for a Credit Controller to join our Finance and Business Support team reporting to the Finance Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the full credit control function of our direct-to-consumer model.
    • In this position, you will provide an accurate and reliable full credit control function. The credit controller will analyse and control all aspects of debtor’s credit, administrative policies and practices. To implement and uphold actions in line with company strategic objectives, to maximize efficiency of all documentation regarding debtors.

    Major Areas of Accountability (not limited to)

    • Follow up on overdue invoices, collections and allocating payments
    • Knowledge on ICD 10 Codes, EDI submissions and interpreting authorization letters to execute billing correctly.
    • Performing reconciliations, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines from medical aid.
    • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments on a timely basis
    • Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
    • Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records.
    • Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash and eft.
    • Investigate and resolve customer queries daily as well as with medical aids.
    • Communicate with consumers via phone, email, mail or personally
    • Assist with month-end closing reporting
    • Daily cash sales reconciliations
    • Liaise with the bank when required to obtain details on unknown payments
    • Ensure that there are no unallocated payments at month end
    • Place consumers on-hold
    • Provide detailed feedback on age analysis monthly to manager


    Essential Qualifications

    • 3-Year Credit Management/Financial Management Diploma
    • Excellent organizational, coordination and communication skills
    • Medical device experience preferred
    • Minimum 3 - 5 years credit controller/accounts receivable experience
    • Knowledge of JD Edwards ERP system an advantage.


    Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

    • Own Transportation
    • Credit Vetting experience
    • Dealing with Medical Aids an advantage
    • Compulsory Excel Moderate skills (V-lookup, Sumifs, Pivot tables etc.)
    • Minimum Book size of 2000 consumers
    • Well organized
    • Strong analytical thinking abilities
    • Articulate, determined mind set, tenacious
    • Sense of urgency
    • Goal driven
    • Accuracy is key
    • Ability to work cross functional with executives, managers and other staff in a respectful and service-oriented manner, to garner cooperation and service excellence.
    • Outstanding organizational and written/verbal communications skills
    • Ability to plan, organize, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment

    • South African citizenship preferred.
