    Credit, Portfolio Management

    Role Responsibilities

    Strategy

    • Support the Chief Credit Officer with portfolio management and reporting for Africa.
    • Support the Chief Credit Officer with administrative duties.
    • Coordinate with Credit Officers as and when required to prepare reports or fulfil requirements requested by stakeholders for country(ies) / the region.

    Business

    • Ensure timely submissions for all regional and Group requirements.
    • Assist Credit Officers in setting and reviewing risk parameters and ensuring risk profiles are within risk tolerances.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations.
    • Continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the risk management processes.

    Risk Management:

    • Monitor the regional credit risk portfolio and generate country / regional reports on a periodic basis, using the multiple systems and data sources made available by the Group. Escalate any aberrant data to the concerned stakeholders.
    • Prepare regional / country submissions in line with stakeholder queries / stress tests / ad-hoc requirements.
    • Assist the Credit Officers with the preparation of the annual Country Portfolio Guidelines. Assist the Chief Credit Officer with reviewing the final versions of these documents.
    • Assist the Chief Credit Officer in reviewing the risk appetite parameters in the Country Portfolio Guidelines. Ensure the completion and accuracy of the periodic monitoring before respective deadlines.
    • Support the country/regional Credit teams in obtaining favorable audit outcomes and providing the required data for audit purposes.

    People and Talent

    • Support the CCO and SCOs with the administration related to the Africa quarterly Credit Clinics.

    Our Ideal Candidate

    • Three or more years of experience in Banking.
    • Functional experience in Corporate Banking Credit Risk Management, Corporate Banking or Portfolio Management.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to influence and resolve disputes. Enjoy decision making and have sense of ownership, excellent interpersonal skills and multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
    • Curious, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
