Custody Settlement Specialist at RMB - Rand Merchant Bank

Job Description

• To accurately monitor and process all custody-related items, corporate actions, and pricing analysis and champion pricing best practices
• Respond to client requests promptly and provide feedback until resolution is reached.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure that all client needs are met.
• Conduct daily reconciliations and complete filings.
• Engage in the daily reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation of all securities in safekeeping.
• Manage aged reconciliation items.
• Conduct execution and settlement of unlisted security orders including foreign exchange.
• Monitor and complete all settlements within the organisation’s platform.
• Correctly record dividends, interest, and corporate actions.
• Load and calculate (where required) manually priced securities.
• Monitor bank accounts for relevant payments.
• Communicate effectively with 3rd parties to ensure a clear understanding of both incoming and outgoing notifications.
• Provide support to Custody and Corporate Actions team members.
• Accurate processing of manual payments SWIFT (MT103’s) on relevant system.
• Provide support to Custody and Corporate Actions team members in terms of BoP (Balance of Payments) reporting.
• Accurate processing of invoices on the Bank’s Procurement System.
• Ensure month-end billing is captured and authorised; accurately and timeously.
• Process JSE SWIFT messages (MT104 and MT198) on relevant system.
