Cylinder Truck Driver - Vanderbijlpark at Air Products South Africa

Overview & Key Responsibilities

• This role is responsible for the safe & reliable delivery and collection of all products in Liquid or Gaseous form in cylinders and Minitanks to the company’s customers and facilities.

The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for conducting the daily pre/post journey vehicle checks;
• Ensure safe and efficient delivery and collection of cylinders at assigned destinations;
• Responsible for the safe loading and offloading of cylinders.
• Responsible for general housekeeping of the truck;
• Ensure SHERQ standards are constantly adhered to;

Performing general ad hoc activities.

Essential Requirements

•  A minimum Grade 12 certificate;
• A valid unendorsed EC Drivers License with PrDP;
• A valid Forklift licence;
• Must have valid Dangerous Goods Certificate;
• Must have own reliable transport;
• A minimum of 5 years in heavy duty driving experience;
• Must be experienced in transportation and handling of Dangerous Goods;
• Must be medically fit to perform physical work;
• Must be willing to work Flexi hours & overtime when required;
• Must be able to produce written reports on vehicle fitness and accurate delivery paperwork;
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills, specifically in English
