Overview & Key Responsibilities

• As a DA Plant Operator, you will play a crucial role in the operation of our Acetylene plant, ensuring adherence to procedures, work instructions, and company policies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Safety First: Actively participate in the safety program to maintain and enhance our Safety Management Systems and uphold all company safety standards.
• Operational Excellence: Assist in operating the DA plant according to established procedures to ensure seamless production that meets our safety and quality benchmarks.
• Process Support: Contribute to activities related to the filter press, sludge pits, and recycled process water management.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Matric with Mathematics & Science.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the Gas industry or a related field, with a proven track record in production operations.
• A strong commitment to customer value and quality.
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks and willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Flexibility to work within a shift system.
• A hands-on approach with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong deadline orientation and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Overview & Key Responsibilities

• This role is responsible for the safe & reliable delivery and collection of all products in Liquid or Gaseous form in cylinders and Minitanks to the company’s customers and facilities.

The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for conducting the daily pre/post journey vehicle checks;
• Ensure safe and efficient delivery and collection of cylinders at assigned destinations;
• Responsible for the safe loading and offloading of cylinders.
• Responsible for general housekeeping of the truck;
• Ensure SHERQ standards are constantly adhered to;

Performing general ad hoc activities.

Essential Requirements

•  A minimum Grade 12 certificate;
• A valid unendorsed EC Drivers License with PrDP;
• A valid Forklift licence;
• Must have valid Dangerous Goods Certificate;
• Must have own reliable transport;
• A minimum of 5 years in heavy duty driving experience;
• Must be experienced in transportation and handling of Dangerous Goods;
• Must be medically fit to perform physical work;
• Must be willing to work Flexi hours & overtime when required;
• Must be able to produce written reports on vehicle fitness and accurate delivery paperwork;
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills, specifically in English

Key areas of responsibility for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Mitigate outstanding debt and minimise risk within the terms granted to each customer, in accordance with the Collective Accounts Receivable policies;
• Applying all relevant Internal Processes such as Receipt Allocation, Releasing of Orders, Credit Notes, constant reporting of overdue Customers to the Supervisor and Manager;
• Plan and manage various meetings with Customers and Internal Cross Department functions;
• Planning, Matrix reporting and constant communication on various platforms with all related Internal departments;
• Safety and housekeeping 

Essential Requirements:

• Matric with Bookkeeping/Accounting;
• Minimum 3 years experience in debt collecting in the commercial industry;
• Must have experience in asset/stock control;
• Proven ability to negotiate and build strong customer relationships;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential;
• Deadline-driven, ability to work under pressure;
• Must be willing to travel as and when required;
• Must have valid and unendorsed driver’s license;
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Office Suite, Teams and the JDE system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage new installations and associated resources.
• Design safe and cost-effective solutions for customer requirements.
• Lead installation and commissioning of equipment at customer sites.
• Oversee electrical and instrumentation system design and installation.
• Conduct project management activities.
• Provide maintenance support and assist with regional activities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Degree/Diploma in Chemical/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
• Project Management qualification (advantageous).
• 3 – 7 years of experience in Project/Maintenance and Engineering within the Industrial or Chemical industry.
• Experience in Cryogenic Design and Project Management (advantageous).
• Knowledge in design and installation of process, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
• PLC programming (Allen Bradley software preferred).
• Familiarity with JDE modules or other ERP systems (advantageous).
• Valid Driver’s license and reliable transport.
