Main Focus Areas

• To plan, coordinate and manage recourses (personnel, equipment, stock, finances) in the operating theatre unit, thereby ensuring that all patients receive the optimal level of care.

Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

• Ensure that health care is provided to all patients according to company policies, procedures and standards.​
• Plan, organize and ensure control of all activities within the framework of the position and that staff adheres to the companies’ policies, procedures and standards.​
• Ensure that the administration of all relevant documentation is processed according to standard operational procedures.​
• Ensure that skills development plans are in place for staff and continuous training is provided according to the need.​
• Ensure that all quality standards and control measures are known and that it is adhered to.​
• To contribute actively to Teamwork and ensure efficiency of the team on a continuous basis.

Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

• Four year general nursing qualification and registration with SANC. ​
• Minimum of 2 years relevant Theatre scrub experience.​
• Theatre technique will be an advantage. ​
• The candidate must be willing to work shifts in accordance with the requirements of the unit.​
• The candidate must be willing to be on call during the week and weekends.​
• Fully bilingual.
