Data Analyst at Airvantage (Pty) Ltd

The data analyst will be responsible for analysing data and extracting insights that will facilitate management’s decision making as well as identifying new opportunities for growth. This includes extracting, organising and structuring data in a way that will enable useful analysis. Will also need to define relevant KPI’s, build dashboards and provide reports and presentations to management so a commercial mindset is very important. Needs to be up to date with the latest tools and methodologies for analysing data.
Core skills

•  Python
•  Spark (PySpark)
•  SQL/MySQL
•  Experience with manipulating large data sets
•  Experience with data visualization and data mining
•  Excellent Microsoft Excel
•  QlikSense / PowerBI
•  Understanding of statistics
•  Understanding of experiment design methodology e.g., A/B testing
•  Understanding of financial performance and appropriate analysis
•  Excellent understanding of general business principles
•  Self starter who can find the right problems to focus on
• Quantitative degree - engineering, computer science, actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, etc
