Data Analyst at MFS Africa

The Role

We are looking for someone who is passionate about data and using it assist the company make meaningful decisions. You are the right fit if you are self-motivated, a self-starter and someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic , fast-paced environment where you will be required to take full ownership and accountability in your role. The position will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The duties and responsibilities of the role will be as follows:

• Analyse and interpret complex data
• Monitor the activity of key accounts
• Monitor the activities and patterns of our partners
• Monitor transaction irregularities and customer behaviour
• Using analytical tool to interpret data, paying close attention to trends and patterns in the data
• Prepare reports for internal colleagues and external partners using our in-house analytics tool
• Use reporting tool to create graphs, visualizations and data dashboards
• Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings
• Track and record internal and external issues
• Draft weekly report with meaningful findings

Requirements
Essential Skills

• Basic knowledge of database languages such as SQL, R or Python
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Data visualization
• Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
• Strong written/verbal communication skills

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics or any related Data Analytics qualification
• 1 - 2 years’ experience in Data Analysis or relevant working experience
