Data Analyst (Northern Suburbs (Cape)) at Vital Health Foods

Description
Develops and maintains the data warehouse in line with the data model, and metadata repository and provides business intelligence analysis through providing strategic and operational support.

Responsibilities:

• Develop DW components (facts, dimensions, tables)
• Develop data cubes
• Design and develop integration services (ETL)
• Perform SQL server development
• Structure data into compliance standards by adhering to metadata governance procedures
• Review and validate the collected data to ensure the data is within required quality standards
• Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies
• Deploy data to the DW
• Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and policies
• Develop reporting and analytics solutions
• Translate business problems and perform reporting tool development by consulting with internal stakeholders and suppliers
• Performs complex analytics and statistical modeling on big data/large data sets to uncover information
• Develop appropriate reporting and analytics solutions on time and according to SLA
• Support users with queries and problems
• Provide users with training on tools to enable them to interpret data.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science field or a qualification in Software Development/Coding/Modeling
• MS SQL experience
• Knowledge of SYSPRO would be advantageous
