Data Analyst at Salt South Africa

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and update reports and dashboards using tools like Google Sheets, Looker Studio, QlikView, and Business Objects
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into clear, effective reporting solutions
• Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance existing reports and reporting processes
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial and retail data reporting
• Design data models and build queries (PL/SQL or MySQL) to support reporting and analysis
• Provide training and support to team members and end-users
• Respond to ad hoc data requests and assist in data-related projects
• Maintain documentation and reporting standards

Requirements:

• Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification in a data or analytics-related field
• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, ideally in a retail environment
• Solid SQL skills (PL/SQL or MySQL)
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets capabilities
• Experience with data visualization/reporting tools such as Looker Studio, QlikView, and Business Objects
• Understanding of relational databases and data modelling concepts
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus
