Data Analyst (Western Cape) at Accounting and Financial Advisory

Job Description:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team.
• The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to help drive business decisions.
• The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends and patterns
• Interpret data to provide insights and recommendations to management
• Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
• Perform data cleaning and validation to ensure accuracy
• Create data maps with visual representations of data flows and relationships between different data sources.
• Create visualizations and reports to present data findings to stakeholders
• Use modelling tools like ERD (Entity-Relationship Diagrams) to visualise data models
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for improving data quality and reliability
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, or a related field
• Finance Reporting Experience 
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or a similar role
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
