Needs to be a self driven individual with a systems thinking and learning mindset. Attention to detail and completeness is key paradigm for role. The individual should be open and outgoing and able to conduct requirement facilitations and presentations. The individual should also be able to attend and contribute within working groups ensuring the analytical space is always well represented at any organizational data decision forum.

Technical Skills and Experience

Infrastructure understanding specifically pertaining to

• Network layout and impact on and of data flows
• File storage and data persistence technologies such as SAN, File Systems
• Cloud solutions and persistence available and permitted

Data specific

• Data Archiving techniques and capabilities
• Data interfaces and integration technologies
  • Messaging Queues and message bus concepts and capabilities
  • Data Streaming concepts and capabilities
• Relational and Dimensional data modelling experience
• Normal forms and limitations of each
• SQL and other scripting capabilities for the extraction and manipulation of data
• Data Quality principles and concepts

Responsibilities

Delivery of information management principles and capabilities across the platform including the evangelism and application of good data principles such as

• Access and Security
• Data quality
• Metadata and masterdata
• Data Retention and archiving.
• Logical and physical design of data available on the platform to optimally serve the analytical community using these paradigms
• Physical Persistence: Storage, Network, ERD, optimization structures and constraints
• Logical Structure: Process Flows, User interactions, Output formats
• Process and data flow: document data journey and transformation from the point it enters the platform until it is made available for consumption on the platform
• Security Requirements: Roles, Access Groups, User access, data restriction, encryption and tokenization
• Governance: Retention and archiving as well as destruction and backups
