Data Engineer with Power BI Expertise at Tripplo Software

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our data infrastructure. In this position, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, as well as creating and enhancing existing reports in Power BI. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data engineering principles, coupled with a solid understanding of Power BI to transform raw data into meaningful insights.

• Develop and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into our data warehouse or data lakes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and software engineers, to understand data requirements and design effective solutions.
• Implement data quality checks and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the data pipeline.
• Design and build data models and schemas that support efficient reporting and visualization in Power BI.
• Create and enhance visually appealing and interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI, enabling end-users to gain actionable insights.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and reports, identifying and resolving any issues or bottlenecks.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback, understand their requirements, and refine reports and visualizations accordingly.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in Power BI and data engineering, and actively share knowledge and best practices with the team.

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles, data modelling, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in working with data integration tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, or similar.
• Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI, and the ability to create compelling reports and visualizations.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with cloud-based data technologies (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
