To manage implementation of Information Management and Governance standards that contributes to the business realisation of investments in data and information to enable integration; operational implementation and adherence to Data KPIs, while ensuring data is provisioned into the organisation in a manner that is fit for consumption to maximizes the organisational value from data
Preferred Qualification - Relevant Post Graduate Degree or recognised Information Management and/or Data science certification
Experience - 5 to 8 years relevant experience in information management/data science/Data engineering/Computer Science of which 3 to 4 years ideally at senior
Additional Knowledge - Strong understanding of Data Management practices and processes in a large financial services organisation
Understand both the technical points of Data Management, as well as the business drivers and needs
Sound knowledge of data
Understand regulations and legislation which require information or data management capabilities, communities and understand the dependencies between people, technology and the processes of Data management, MIS and data insights
Responsibilities
Provide input into, and implement, corporate governance, compliance, integrity and ethics policies in are of accountability to identify and manage risk exposure
Manage expenditure planning and reporting within approved budget parameters
Draw up a budget aligned to tactical delivery plans, monitor effectiveness and report on variances
Anticipate and meet the needs of clients and commit to continuous development and entrenchment of a customer service culture
Establish mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders, that support thought leadership, innovative and integrated practice solutions
Plan and manage performance, talent, succession and culture across function in order to improve performance
Establish and embed a data-driven culture throughout the business
Lead Information Management Function for the sourcing of data
Lead Business Information Management Function as supplier/owner of data to ensure required standards and practices and business value creation
Lead Business Data Information Management function across big complex areas to ensure required standards and practices across data production, management and consumption
Drive the implementation and adoption of data strategy in achievement of information management strategy
Demonstrate leadership behaviour through personal involvement, commitment and dedication in support of organisational values
Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own and employee development
Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships within FNB and/or across the FRG
