Job Description

• We are looking for a visionary Data Lead to shape the future of how our business uses data. In this role, you will partner with leaders across the organization to define their data needs and bring them together into a unified group-wide data strategy. At the same time, you will build the foundations that make this strategy possible — creating data management and quality frameworks, and empowering data stewards across the business to ensure our data is trusted, well-governed, and impactful. This is a unique opportunity to influence both the strategic direction and the practical standards of data within our organization, ensuring data becomes one of our most valuable assets

Responsibilities

• Solving complex, cross-team challenges through collaboration between business and technology
• Shaping ideas that improve business practices or drive strategic initiatives with the business.
• Working with company policies and relevant legislation
• Creating reports, procedures, and training materials
• Drafting proposals, policies and project briefs

Qualifications

• NQF level 7 (Bachelor's eg: Bcom, BSc or equivalent 3 year degree) Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.    
• High level expertise in, and detailed understanding of a number of different specialist areas within a function - Data strategies, frameworks, methodologies and governance      
• 10 -12 years experience (5 years in a Senior role)
