Data Migration Consultant - Rest of Africa - Commercial Products at Dimension Data

The Data Migration Consultant is responsible for managing the migration of data from one IT system to another and ensuring that data integrity is maintained. The role will involve a combination of data conversion, testing, analysis, reporting and project management.

Requirements

• Responsible for the Data Mapping and Migration of the Product Master for CDE as well as CDE Spares in D365 F&O
• Responsible for the creation, loading and posting of Stock Journals during the Project Cutover Period D365 experience in the Product Master as well as Stock Journals
• Understanding SSIS packages as well as the D365 DMF (Data Migration Framework) with Batch handling
• Manage, facilitate, and drive the extraction criteria, data cleansing, object mapping, field mapping and value mapping for the ETL process
• Manage, facilitate, and drive the filling in of the templates by the Business for the Construct process
• Facilitate Issue resolution where there are load errors (Defects logged in DevOps)
• Status reporting per functional area as and when needed
• Engage with business resources per stream to resolve data queries

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred
• Must have knowledge of ERP systems, business processes and the ability to analyze large datasets.
• At least five years of experience with the migration and integration of large scale data sets from disparate systems into a centralized database system required.
