Data Privacy Specialist at OutsideCapital

Purpose of the Position:

As a Privacy and Data specialist, you will join the Risk team as a Senior Manager reporting to the Data Privacy Leader. A unique opportunity to shape and influence digital transformation. This role will provide exposure to risk assessing and addressing practical implementation challenges in areas such as data sharing and customer analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement holistic and targeted solutions to meet and exceed the data privacy compliance requirements using best practice, ethical operations, and regulation
• Support business area leadership in the implementation of a strategic plan, through effective management of teams, to improve the data privacy, cyber and organisational risk profiles.
• Advise on global trends relating to data privacy requirements
• Act as subject matter specialist on industry trends around data privacy and cyber risk practices

Requirements:

• LLB Degree with a minimum of 5 years post articles legal experience in Data Privacy (non-negotiable)
• Admitted Attorney
• Medium to large firm experience
• Senior management experience
• Cross functional experience (data management / legal / cyber)
• Expert understanding of Personal Data Protection, Statutory / Regulatory Health check, Annual Compliance Services, Intellectual Property Law, Consumer Protection
