PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• The Data Quality Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of data integrity and accuracy within an organization.
• Their primary focus is on ensuring that data is reliable, complete, consistent, and aligned with the organization's data governance policies.
• The role ensures the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity of data across the organization to support strategic decision-making and compliance requirements.
• In addition, to recommend and implement relevant technologies that will support continuous good data quality.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review current data landscape and quality thereof
• Develop and implement data quality frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and business units to define data quality rules and metrics.
• Lead and be involved in the data cleansing process.
• Monitor, measure, and report on data quality issues and improvements.
• Lead root cause analysis and remediation efforts for data quality issues.
• Recommend and implement relevant systems and technologies to support good data quality practices
• Drive awareness and adoption of data quality best practices across departments.
• Support data governance initiatives and ensure alignment with data strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a similar role or a related role in a FMCG retail environment.
