Description

• Hire Resolve's client is currently seeking a Data Scientist in Cape Town, and the successful candidate will earn a salary between R720k and R480k per annum.

Responsibilities

• Applying innovative and advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to develop predictive models
• Designing and developing customized algorithms and models for different data projects
• Conducting in-depth data analyses and providing actionable insights to stakeholders
• Developing robust analytical frameworks to identify patterns and correlations within high volume and complex data sets
• Managing data extraction, cleansing, and processing
• Developing data-driven products and solutions that align with set strategies and business goals
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and business partners to align the data science systems with business needs

Requirements

• BSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related fields
• At least 5 years of experience in data mining, data modelling, and statistical analysis
• Proficiency in R, Python, and SQL
• Experience in Hadoop and Spark
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• A demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment and contribute to team goals.
