You would be part of the awesome team that looks after the enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence environments, while also providing insights to business through our team of analysts and data scientists.

In order to apply, we’re looking for:

• Relevant IT Qualification
• 5+ Year’s working experience in a senior tech role working with:
• Data Lake/Data Warehouse development (SQL)
• Large data sets
• ETL and Replication Tools
• Cloud technologies (Snowflake)
• All levels of the team mates across various levels and skillsets (3rd party vendors, Project Managers, Business Analysts, IT Architects, Team Leaders etc)

If you have retail experience and are technically savvy with Tableau & Data Vault modeling, it would be a great advantage.

A day in your life?

• System/database design, analysis, creation of code, SQL queries as well as updating the database and creating tables.
• Assist the team with technical direction for the design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of Data Warehouse solutions, aligning to the target architecture.
• Design and develop ETL pipelines, data lake, enterprise data warehouse, data marts, calculation engines.
• Guide and assist the team on best practices; modifying existing and develop new processes.
• Communicate clearly with internal business customers and senior leaders translating business requirements to technical specifications.
• Work effectively with the team, clearly translate business priorities and objectives into technical solutions.
• Perform design and code reviews
• Drive clarity of purpose and goals during release and planning activities.
• Solve issues by coordinating across multifunctional areas.
• Communicate and prioritise workflow expectations for direct reports in order to achieve set targets and distribute work optimally.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and feedback to junior team members.
• Working with waterfall / agile methodologies for project delivery
