Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems or equivalent plus at least 5 years' minimum experience in Database Administration. Database development and programming will be an added advantage.
DUTIES
Work closely with other IT specialists to setup, maintain and monitor database.
Activate and deactivate database accounts in order to monitor access to organization employees.
Design and implement database according to the end user’s information needs and views.
Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast queries responses.
Monitor the database performance, implement changes and apply new patches when required.
Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
Perform tests and evaluation regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
Use high speed transaction recovery techniques to backup data.
Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
