Purpose of the Job    
The DC Inventory Planner is responsible for managing the inbound ordering of FMCG products from suppliers into the DC, facilitating products through the entire supply chain to the shelf. This role requires a strong understanding of the FMCG supply chain, forecasting and analytical skills, communication skills, and the ability to handle and manage pressure.

Job Objectives    

• System coordination of supplier accounts to optimize most profitable ordering patterns/frequency
• Item parameter setting and data analysis to enable optimal forecasting results
• Product lifecycle management
• Place supplier purchase orders to ensure achievement of inventory and service
• Maintain service level deliverables
• Promotional planning and replenishment
• Forecasting exception management
• Project Management
• Data analysis and reporting

Qualifications    

• Degree in Supply Chain or relevant qualification (Desirable)

Experience    

• 3 Years forecasting experience

Knowledge and Skills    

• Computer Literacy - MS Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables)
• SAP Knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Time management skills
• Experience in an FMCG environment is advantageous
• Product knowledge will be advantageous
