    Dealer Principal (Commercial vehicles/Johannesburg based)

    About

    EarthStream Global is representing a global manufacturer of trucks and buses, they are currently looking to employ an experienced Dealer Manager to optimize the flow in the in the Service Delivery Process of one of their branches in Gauteng. As the Dealer Manager, you will be responsible to proactively develop, manage and lead the Dealership strategic development as well as the day to day operations to maximize customer and employee satisfaction as well as achieving financial and business performance targets.

    The successful candidate will have some of the following responsibilities:

    • Build and develop the business within the region, creating customer value through market development, promotion of after sales services.
    • Responsible for the day to day activity of the Dealership, development of the organisation structure and efficient allocation of tasks and resources, ensuring a structured and organised way of working with defined routines and procedures.
    • Manage the Dealership’s business planning process, developing strategies and establishing financial and operational targets and objectives, in consultation with senior management, ensuring the overall goals of the company are being met.
    • Establish a management structure within the Dealership, conducting regular management meetings to monitor Dealership performance against set targets and objectives, reporting on trends and activities in the market place, and putting in place a continuous improvement approach.
    • Actively promote and drive workshop and parts sales.
    • Build and develop customer relationships within the region ensuring customer needs are being met, and services developed to meet the future needs of the customer.
    • Responsible for people management in the Dealership.
    • Support and promote a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and ongoing development of safety policies and procedures.

    The successful candidate will meet the following key selection criteria:

    • Matric, Relevant Tertiary qualification - advantageous
    • At least 5 years relevant business knowledge and experience in a similar role
    • Extensive managerial and leadership experience preferably in the heavy vehicle or a related industry
    • Effective negotiation and influencing skills
    • People management skills
    • Clear understanding of management accounts
    • Ability to identify opportunities for business development
    • Ability to build and manage key relationships
