Debtors Clerk at Cancercare SA

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform quality control on billing sheets to ensure accuracy
• Capture and process patient billing, including chemotherapy and radiation fees
• Accurately capture, allocate, and reconcile payments
• Process debit and credit journals in line with company policies
• Follow up on outstanding accounts and resolve payment discrepancies
• Manage debt collection processes to reduce debtor days
• Handle patient, medical aid, and internal account queries
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to medical aids
• Maintain proper electronic and paper filing systems
• Assist with daily and month-end financial procedures

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Business Studies
• 5+ years’ experience in a debt collection enviroment
• Elixir Live system proficiency (or similar medical billing systems)
• Medical coding & Billing practices
• Experience in a medical environment will be advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
