Debtors/Orders Clerk at Astral Foods Ltd

The successful candidate would be responsible for:

• Accurate and timeous processing of debtors’ invoices;
• Generate and check that all delivery notes are signed by driver and customer;
• Filing of invoices;
• Processing customer orders.
• Address and resolve customer queries.
• Liaise with despatch and production departments.
• Assist with production planning.
• Switchboard duties when necessary.
• Assisting with monthly stock take as required.
• Perform relief duties for Credit Controller .
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by Financial Manager.
• Adherence to all health and safety rules at all times;
• Commit and comply to the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, 20 Keys, Astral Code of Ethics, and any other company management systems.

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 and a relevant bookkeeping qualification would be advantageous;
• A minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar position;
• Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines;
• Work effectively in a team environment with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• A high level of personal and professional integrity;
• Ability to multi-skill;
• Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Previous experience in Great Plains will be an advantage;
• Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans.
