Demand Planner at Aspen Pharma Group

The purpose of this role is to facilitate the forecasting and supply planning process. Act as a focal point to improve forecast accuracy and ensure optimal inventory levels.

MAIN OBJECTIVES:

Supply and Demand Planning

• Responsible for monthly forecasting in collaboration with Marketing and ensuring maintenance of a 24 month rolling forecast in the JE planning system.
• Use statistical forecasting to derive baseline demand after correcting lost sales history.
• Apply marketing intelligence to influence marketing’s forecasts through collaboration during the monthly forecasting process.
• Analyze historic performance and planned strategies/activities to identify areas of opportunity or risk.
• Present forecast accuracy at monthly forecasting meetings highlighting products where forecast accuracy is below target.
• Facilitate continuity of supply by performing a monthly supply plan review and collaborating with sites.
• Ensure that optimum required inventory levels are maintained to support the sales whilst mindful of impact of excess stocks on working capital .
• Ensure Item Master data integrity is maintained.
• Ensure that divisional stock allocations are maintained on Baan.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Matric
• Post matric qualification in Supply Chain/Diploma in Supply Chain/Production Inventory          
• Management/Certified Inventory Management
• 2-3 years planning experience Pharmaceutical / FMCG experience
