Dental Specialist / Lecturer Grade 1-3 (One Year Contract)- Periodontics and Oral Medicine
BChD/BDS or equivalent qualification. Current registration with the HPCSA as a dentist in the Independent Practice category. A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a general dental practitioner (Independent Practice).
A postgraduate qualification in dentistry/management/leadership. Experience in undergraduate teaching or clinical supervision. The following will be an added advantage.
A postgraduate qualification in Dentistry and/ or a Masters in Dentistry (preferably in Periodontics and Oral Medicine). Research experience will be advantageous
Duties :
Prepare and update study guides and subject content. Prepare lectures and teach undergraduate students, prepare and mark assessments. Clinical supervision of undergraduate students.
Management/treatment of patients. Conduct research and undertaking any other administrative/teaching and training duties as assigned by the Department Head/Head Clinical Unit.
