    Deputy Director: National Register For Sex Offenders (NRSO) Systems Management And Applications Ref No: 25/90/CS

    • An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) as recognized by SAQA in Law/Public Administration/Social Science or equivalent qualification
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience at managerial (Assistant Director) level in Administration /Law /Criminal Justice System
    • Experience in dealing with legislation and litigation of cases pertaining to the NRSO, coordinating training and service delivery improvement programmes
    • Knowledge of the jurisprudence law cases
    • Knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework, governing the Public Service, Financial Management and regulatory framework/ guidelines; prescripts;
    • Knowledge and understanding of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) amendment Act, The Criminal Law (Sexual Offenders and Related Matters) Amendment Act, Criminal and Related matters Amendment Act, the Domestic Violence Amendment Act, relevant Public Service Legislation and the application of Batho Pele Principles
    • Understanding of issues surrounding GBVF, Ability to interpret, apply and implement legislation; Understanding of the NRSO system and its functionality.

    DUTIES :

    • Key Performance Areas: Manage the development and maintenance of National Register for Sex Offenders information system and integration
    • Manage the NRSO administration process on the electronic register/system
    • Manage the verification process of NRSO applications for certificates in respect of particulars
    • Manage human, finance and other resources.

    • Foreigners or dual citizenship holder must provide the Police Clearance certificate from country of origin only when shortlisted.
