Design Draftsman at MECS (Pty) Ltd

Responsibilities:

• Piping – layout, isometric detailing and BOQ’s (Bill of Quantities) generation to required piping specifications.
• Mechanical – layout and detailing of fabricated equipment to specified codes and standards.
• Structural – layout and detailing to applicable codes and standards.
• Process – read and apply process diagrams in designing process plants
• Drawing office standard practice

Skills / qualification required:

• AutoCAD
• Inventor
• Tekla
• Plant 3D
• Certificate or Diploma in Engineering / Drafting (Structural, Mechanical and/or Piping).

 KPI's:

• To generate a conceptual design including 3D models, drawings and BOQ’s (Bill of Quantities) for agreed discipline/s (Civil, Electrical, Piping, Mechanical and Structural) according to client specification within agreed timeframe.
• Evidence: Approved 3D concept models, drawings and BOQ’s (Bill of Quantities)
• To generate a detailed design including 3D models, drawings and BOQ’s (Bill of Quantities) for agreed discipline/s (Civil, Electrical, Piping, Mechanical and Structural) according to client specification and certified vendor information within agreed timeframe. Evidence: Approved for construction 3D models,drawings and BOQ’s (Bill of Quantities)
• To generate a detailed design of an Equipment Supply Project including 3D models, drawings and BOQ’s (Bill of Quantities) for agreed discipline/s (Civil, Electrical, Piping, Mechanical and Structural) according to client or internal specifications and certified vendor information within agreed timeframe.
• Evidence: Approved for construction and fabrication 3D models, drawings and BOQ’s (Bill of Quantities)
