Job Description

The appointment will be made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity plan of Old Mutual Limited and the specific business unit in question. This role manages a sales team in Jhb Sandton and distribution strategy in PFA and is accountable for the sales targets and profitability of the team, over periods of 1 day to 3 months.

Key Result Areas

• Recruitment and Selection of academy financial advisers
• Managing the existing business processes (i.e. conservation, outstanding business, financing, administration and client care).
• Coaching and development of financial advisers
• Building and sustaining a productive team.

Requirements for the role:

The successful applicant should meet the following requirements:

• The minimum requirements for a supervisory role in the financial services industry are stipulated by the FAIS Act:
• Matric certificate
• Must have a relevant NQF5 level (120 credits) qualification as per the FSCA list of approved qualifications
• Must have passed the Regulatory Exam for Representatives (RE5)
• Must have been registered with the FSCA and provided financial advice for at least a year in the following minimum product categories: 1.2, 1.3,1.4, 1.5,1.6,1.7, 1.14 and 1.20
• Previous experience as a Sales Manager could be beneficial.
• Preferably 24 month’s service as a Financial Advisor.
• Must adhere to minimum performance standards – APS.
• Have strong administrative capabilities.
• Should be comfortable in applying the sales process.
• Should have a good working knowledge of X Plan.
