DevOps Manager at TLT Appointing

Job Description

• The DevOps Manager position requires a combination of a technologically skilled engineer and a team player who provides leadership and direction of the operations of the DevOps Team within the IT Department.
• The DevOps Manager is responsible for the development, support and extension of our DevOps processes, tools and systems, and to ensure that  has the best IT solutions to support our Ops and Dev teams.
• In addition, the DevOps manager will support and mentor our DevOps team members through facilitating learning and improvement, to ensure the team’s high-performance.
   

Qualifications
Minimum Education Qualification:

• A BSc Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, a B. Comm Business Information Systems (BIS) Degree, or a very high quality Technikon Diploma

Minimum Experience:

• 8+ years working experience in technology focused areas of Information Technology in the same or a similar role

Additional Information
In addition to experience in the previously mentioned technologies, we are looking for candidate with the following skills:

•        Experience with Python / JavaScript / Nodejs a plus
•        Experience with IAAC tools such as Terraform / CloudFormation
•        The ability to do SQL queries and SQL administration
•        Experience with VMWare / AWS / KVM and virtualisation is preferable

Experience in system administration is essential
