National Diploma/Degree in Diagnostic Radiography. Current active registration with the Health Professions Council of South African HPCSA as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
Experience in Digital Radiography and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems. Experience in teaching, training, and supervision of students would be an advantage.
Knowledge of relevant public service regulations, legislation, policies, acts and procedures. Computer literacy (Ms Word, Ms. Excel).
Knowledge of Radiographic Quality Assurance, National Core Standards, Health and Safety and Infection Control and Batho Pele principles.
Good communication (verbal and written) skills. Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Duties :
Render effective dental patient-centred Radiography services aligned to the scope of practice and health protocols. Work effectively within and across multi-disciplinary teams.
Supervise, develop, teach, train and monitor the performance of students in all aspects of radiographic service delivery whilst adhering to Batho Pele Principles. Adhere to institutional and departmental policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
Perform record keeping, data collection and assets management. Contribute and participate in professional development of self, colleagues, and team members. Participate in research projects of the department. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Perform administrative functions required of the job. Implement and maintain the quality assurance protocols in alignment with national and provincial norms and standards.
Comply with the Performance Management and Development System (contracting and assessment).
